For example, each truck is outfitted with a series of power outlets that you can use to inflate an air mattress, set up an outdoor movie theater, or power up tools at the jobsite.

While each truck comes with these outlets, you’ll only find two in the bed of the R1T. With the F-150 Lightning, you’ll have up to 11 available outlets that are found from the Mega Power Frunk to the truck’s bed.

The F-150 Lightning also comes with the available Ford Intelligent Backup Power, a feature that can turn your truck into a home generator. When equipped, this feature can power your home for up to three days, ensuring you’re never left in the dark. Without similar capabilities, the same can’t be said for the Rivian.

When exploring the F-150 Lightning, you’ll notice this truck offers a diverse selection of optional features that all drivers will love. Premium leather heated and ventilated seats provide you with climate-controlled luxury.

There’s no shortage of ways to keep the cabin illuminated on small details like oak accent trim. During the day, natural light will flood the cabin thanks to the twin-panel moonroof. At night, interior ambient lighting adds a light glow that will help keep you relaxed.

While you’ll find a few of these features with the R1T, without the leather upholstery or interior ambient lighting of the F-150 Lightning, it lacks the same opulence.

Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are both standard amenities in the Ford, yet they aren’t found at all with the Rivian.
