2021 Ford Ranger Performance & Off-Road Technology

Ford Ranger Off-RoadThe Ford Ranger displays tremendous power and poise on the pavement while still offering the ability to go off-roading with confidence.

The sole engine is a 2.3L EcoBoost®, which produces up to 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. To help improve efficiency, the engine comes equipped with Auto Start/Stop Technology. It's a system that will turn your engine off when you come to a standstill, such as at a stop sign. As you begin to release the brake pedal, the engine jumps back to life, and you're ready to go.

When the trail gets a bit bumpy or treacherous, you can rely on the available Trail Control™, an intuitive feature that manages the throttle and will brake individual tires to help you maintain a set speed.

There's also the Terrain Management System™, which lets you select from the following drive modes to better tackle various terrain:

  • Normal
  • Grass/Gravel/Snow
  • Mud/Ruts
  • Sand

For 2021, there are also three levels to the Ford Performance Parts Packages on the Ranger. Level 1 includes features like a unique Fox "Tuned by Ford Performance" Off-Road Suspension Leveling Kit. Moving up to Level 3 sees the addition of a black powder-coated steel chase rack, a heavy-duty front bumper, and more.

Ford Ranger Safety Technology

Ford Ranger Safety TechnologyYou'll be able to move along the highway or navigate a crowded parking lot with ease knowing that the technology in the Ford Ranger is looking out for your well-being.

Much of the safety centers around the acclaimed Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology, which comes with the following driver-assisting systems:

  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support
  • BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

There's also the addition of Auto High-Beam Headlamps, which become especially useful when you're trying to move along a secluded stretch of road after dark.

Infotainment & Connectivity Technology

Ford Ranger Technology FeaturesLastly, we come to the cabin, where you'll find a plethora of technology designed to connect you and your Ford Ranger to the outside world.

SYNC® 3 is the handy infotainment interface that's accessible on an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen display. Once you pair your smartphone to the model using Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, you can effortlessly access music, navigation, and many other applications.

Plus, FordPass Connect™ gives you the ability to:

  • Receive maintenance and service reminders on your phone
